Anejo Mexican Bistro opened it doors in August of 2010 and very quickly became a fixture on the local restaurant scene. With its unique take on fresh Mexican cuisine and cocktails offered in a fun, sophisticated atmosphere, co-owners Jesse Kersey and Jamie Surprenant pride themselves in offering an escape to Mexico in the heart of Falmouth.

Jesse grew up in the San Fransisco area, where he developed his passion for fresh, authentic Mexican food. After earning his marketing degree in Colorado, he moved east and has worked in the restaurant industry here for almost two decades. Jamie was raised in his family's restaurant business on Cape Cod, and is also the co-owner of the highly successful Five Bays Bistro and Crisp Flatbread in Osterville.

These longtime friends had talked for many years about opening an innovative Mexican restaurant that takes full advantage of fresh local ingredients with a carefully selected drink list to enhance the overall Mexican experience. After a great deal of research (and a margarita or two), the two fell in love with the bustling location on Main Street in Falmouth and all that the area has to offer, and Anejo Mexican Bistro was born.

Añejo Mexican Bistro is proud to display several works of renowned local artist, Sarah Holl. Sarah is a principal in the family owned Scargo Pottery & Art Gallery in Dennis, and more of her work can be seen at
